Wedding in the Wood

It is the wedding in the wood, wherein the happy couple stood.

There was the holy pear.

Above them flew the silent bird who hovered on their every word, come to unite them there.

The banjos ring,

the turtles sing.

The flowers all about them swing and fling their petals on the air.

And in the stream of consciousness there swam the snake and little fish who brought with them a heartfelt wish, upon them to confer.

And far away the city stirred where traffic whirred about the herd and noise was everywhere.

But in the wooded clearing space silence held an honored place,

All voices could be heard.
